Frank Dallas is a Rhode Island native with a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design. They now live and work in Queens, NY, examining their urban landscape through data collection, plant mapping, and historical research. Dallas is a recipient of multiple grants and scholarships including the Textron Grant (2020), the RISD/Anderson Ranch Scholarship (2022), and the Alfreda Ward Maloof Scholarship (2021-23), and has been included in group exhibitions such as Field Project’s More is Never Enough (2023), DESIGNxRI’s 10th Anniversary Exhibition (2023), and Site’s Chaotic Network (2024). Using drawing, sculpture, and furniture, their research-based practice centers around themes of institutionalized conflict, isolation, and systemic entanglement.
