Fall 2021 | Bent mahogany veneer, wool, polished wax | 14”x 14”x 5”
This is a piece inspired by the systems of decaying natural elements. Cotton seed pods past their prime follow the same path to decay as drying leaves. This piece is made of veneer, with non-toxic glue, and undyed, knitted wool. At the end of its life, the veneers will split, continuing its curving independent of one another as the wool will decompose, slowly unravelling.
